Job Summary

The Assurance Manager position is responsible for overseeing and managing the assurance function within a specific business unit. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing risk-based assurance plans, conducting audits and reviews, identifying and mitigating control weaknesses, and reporting on findings and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk-based assurance plans for assigned business areas.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate control weaknesses.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to address control deficiencies.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the assurance function.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing risk-based assurance plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO, COBIT).
  • Experience with internal audit automation tools a plus.
